So Ted and I have not been able to use my benefits internationally, because at first, he didn't dare take time off and then he changed jobs - he just started accruing vacation.  So, this week, we actually both have vacation - so we decided a quick trip to Europe was in order.  We decided on Amsterdam.  Now - this was a quick trip.  We left Sunday afternoon, arriving Monday morning.  We spent Monday and Tuesday doing our sightseeing and back to the airport on Wednesday for an early flight out. Our hopes were for Delta One.  That is first class on Delta for international and some domestic flights.  This would be the first time for Ted and I to experience this together.  We have had first class before - but Delta One is a totally different experience.  Lay down/ reclining seats, personal comforter and large pillow, large personal entertainment screens, champagne offered upon seating.  Ted and I were the only two "non-revs" to actually...

I'm starting this post on January 11, 2017.  I will post it when my mother passes away.  I want to keep a running log on what is going on with her while she goes through her death process. Saturday - January 7:  KayeLynn (my daughter who is living with and caring for my mother) says my mother is busy talking to someone while in her room, alone.  Shortly after, she gets up and is heading to the living room area, talking to someone as she does it.  When my daughter hears this, she gets up to find my mother has left her walker in the middle of the floor and is frantic to find the phone  When my daughter gets her attention my mother says that she needed to find the phone, because "that woman" told me you passed away - meaning that my daughter KayeLynn had passed away - and that she needed to call  me and tell me.  This is our first experience and it's a little odd and strange. I FINALLY lost another six pounds.  It's been a slow journey.  The last time I got a five pound star was November 14.  Now I'm at 36 pounds down.  That has been a ten month journey.  I'm not losing fast,but I'm losing.  Slow, surely, slowly and sometimes even more slowly than that.  But, I'm losing. Today, Ted and I had to go sign some papers to refinance our house.  Taking seven years off our loan!!  WOOT. Anyway, I put a pair of jeans on and they were really, really big!!  So I told Ted, these jeans are going in the bag when I get home. So  - when I got home, I decided it was time to do some purging!! That's a big pile of clothes All bagged up!! I went through my closet to get rid of anything that was too large.  I don't intend on going back to my large size, so I decided it was time to get them out of my closet.  Anything that was too large was thrown out.  Including a beautiful jacket that I got three...
