A Daily Dose - ICK Vitamins

I'm not getting any younger. I'm not getting any healthier - anway by my habits. I'm not getting any skinnier - again, by my habits. I'm just not getting. My 16-hour day the other day is still causing me effects.  Ankles are a bit tender.  I could hardly move at all yesteray.  But, this has nothing to do with vitamins. That whole routine about the definition of crazy, I am the definition of crazy.  Doing the same thing over and over and over and over again expecting a different result.  OK, that may be a bit of an overstatement - because on most things, I am a bit socially acceptable and sane.  I don't fart in public.  I don't talk to myself - very loudly - in public.  I don't throw medications in the air and call them confetti.  I don't scream obscenities without a reason. So, for the  most part, I can be considered sane. But, battling for healthy habits is where the line between sane and insane starts. I have started ...

Google, WebMD and Bing - - - OH MY!!!!

I look in the mirror and I see someone a bit overweight, a little chubby.  It's not nearly as horrible as I think.  I still can be a sexy, desirable woman. I see a picture and I can't even imagine that that is me.  All I see is an old, fat, ugly woman.  What would Ted ever see in me - if this is what he really sees.  Case in point: Me and Penny napping together.  How many chins and rolls does Grandma have?? I don't know how many times in the life of this blog I have said, "I'm going to get control of my life", "I'm so going to lose weight",  "I'm going to get healthy" and "I'm going to exercise".  At this point, I say to myself - you're a liar, you're a fool, you're nothing but a fat lady that doesn't see the truth in the mirror.   I was fine living in my fantasy land until about five days after December 30.  That was the day that I opened my email and had a notification of my blood test resu...

And the Beat Goes On - - - - - - -

I had my first day of class yesterday.  Again, not a big deal of a class, just a community education class.  But, it was a topic that I found kind of interesting and decided that I would like to take. I arrived a few minutes early.  There was an elderly gentleman there.  It's a science class during the day and at night it's a classroom for community education.  When I walked in, I was greeted with, "you must be Ella".  Nope, that ain't me and I said pretty much that.  He then realized that I was me. The elderly gentleman is the instructor.  He appears to be at least in his late 70's.  The very least.  He knows the subject matter and so far I am appreciating the information he is giving me. His methods are a little dated.  Most people give speeches from power point now.  They put their presentations on power point.  This gentleman wants us to use note cards.  Put a little notes on it and not read it.  It's j...

Anxiety Attack

I HAVE I AM COMPLETELY In my own little world - I mean really - - I got Straight A's!! Greener pastures?

Call Me Edumicated!!

I'm down to four more chapters.  I'm down to four more lessons.  I'm down to the very end of my classes.  I'm planning on being done before I go back to work.  It may not be a goal reached, but, it's a goal nonetheless.  But, after this week, I will have finished up and graduated my course. I know it's not a big deal in most peoples minds.  It's a stupid travel planning course being given by the Community College.  But, it's a true milestone in my life.  I've done this while being completely and thoroughly busy at work. I've done it while worrying about the health of my mother, my daughter and the last person in the world I thought I would worry about - my husband.  I've done it while just trying to live life.  It's been equivalent to a full load of college courses.  Seven courses each semester - broken into a first half of the semester and a second half of the semester. Well, anymore I'm not sure if that's so true, I'm ...
