Bullet Your Day

I did this once before on a blog challenge.  Decided to do it again.  For starters, just to keep you in the know, I set up a swap at work so I could have a day off in the future for an important birthday party.

  • Wake up to alarm at 4:30 - after going to bed at about midnight.
  • Get out of bed
  • Put makeup on
  • Get dressed
  • Did hair
  • Brushed teeth
  • Kissed Ted goodbye
  • Read my text messages that were waiting for me
  • Replied to one text
  • Got in my car to drive to airport
  • Talked to BFF on the phone
  • Stopped at McDonalds for breakfast
  • Continued driving to airport, parked my car, got on bus to ride to terminal
  • Clocked in to work Emily's shift
  • Saw Marsan and her daughter in the bathroom.  Hugged her and chatted a bit.
  • Worked first flight
  • Ate some Easter breakfast with the other people working in the concourse that I have only worked in a couple of times and don't know hardly any of the people.  Need to get to know Candace better - she is freaking hysterical!!!
  • Worked flights two and then three
  • Clocked out
  • Picked up lunch at Greek Souvlaki and walked to my usual concourse and enjoyed lunch with my usual peeps on the day shift
  • Clocked back in to begin working for Maria for two hours
  • Worked flight four
  • Started working my own shift
  • Worked flight five
  • Saw my friend Patti at the airport.  She and I hugged and chatted for a bit at my gate before she had to leave and get on a plane.  She got first class - lucky girl!!
  • Had my lunch/dinner break.  Got Smash Burger.  I have now eaten nothing but fast food and junk all the day.
  • Worked flight six
  • Scanned boarding passes for a late arriving aircraft for passengers that missed their connections.  Hugged a cute girl who had just left her boyfriend and now had to wait another night before making it home.
  • Worked flight seven
  • Sat in the break room until time to go home
  • Waited at the bus stop
  • Realized I forgot to clock out, had to walk all the way back to the break room to clock out.  Clocked out and chatted with Jimmy for a bit.
  • Walked back out to the bus stop and rode the bus to the parking lot.
  • Drove home - exhausted.
  • Made it home safe and sound.  Had to unwind on the couch before heading to bed - oh yeah, and to write it all down on this blog post.
By the numbers:

  1. 16 hours 30 minutes from the beginning to the end at the airport
  2. 4 hours 15 minutes of sleep
  3. 3 different employees shifts covered, including my own
  4. 2 feet, 2 ankles, 2 knees all in painful and tired condition
  5. 11,571 steps recorded on my FitBit
  6. 2,646 calories burned
  7. 3 fast food meals eaten - Probably well over the number calories burned above
  8. 7 flights worked
  9. Approximately 975 passengers boarded on those flights

Happy Easter.

CoCo's Journey - Mortality Reality

This week has been one for the books.  There has been some good things, not so good things and more.  I will explain. Last Saturday, my daughter and I drove to Idaho Falls.  We went to visit my bonus daughter and her family.  I wasn't feeling great.  But I wasn't feeling horrible.  By the time I got home, I had a lot of swelling.  I have been dealing with that for a few months.  I had started to see a specialist about my liver and my pancreas.  I had recently started a medication, it is a very pricey medication, but it's supposed to help me break down calories and nutrients so that my body absorbs them.  Even though I eat, my body was just shedding the nutrients and food I was eating and making it so I was not gaining weight.  I was 95 pounds.  And nothing I did would gain weight.  But I've gained 20 pounds over the last few months.  My clothes were uncomfortable.  But, I don't know if it's just the water retenti...

CoCo's Journey - TPN Me!!

I just decided to do another post after spending my first night in my own bed with my new sexy bed partner.  TPN. TPN - Total Parenteral Nutrition.  Calories, vitamins, minerals and all that delivered through an intravenous line. PICC line -  A little stronger and more durable than a regular IV line.  It's inserted, via ultrasound, into a vein.  Mine is in my upper right arm.   IV Pump - an electrical system that pumps the IV fluid from my bag into my veins.   In essence, I have an IV bag, when first attached to my PICC line, it probably weighs 15 to 20 pounds.  It is kept in a backpack, so I can be mobile.  I have the pump plugged in, to keep it charged, when I'm not mobile and trying to get my home back in order after being gone for five days in the hospital. Me and my sexy new bed partner.  I know, I'm gorgeous.  Skinnier than a prepubescent 12-year-old boy and a mess.  Don't judge.  I'm working on it!! ...

CoCo's Journey - Answers!! Finally!!!

Today I finally got answers!!!  I do not have Cirrhosis!!!  I am Pre-Cirrhotic.  Very close to that precipice but still not falling over the edge and falling into a place that I cannot get out of.  I had seen my gastric bypass doctor a while ago - and was given the wrong information.  I think he was looking at the headline and had not read the story.  It's something I'm good at, too.   My doctor explained that when I was overweight, the fat in my body was damaging my liver.  Then I had gastric bypass and that should have helped my fatty liver.  But, then I wasn't able to absorb the calories, so I became malnourished. My liver was not getting the proteins I needed in order to supply my body with the proper nourishment.  Every organ you have needs protein, and it starts in the liver.  So - the malnourishment started to affect my liver.  Leading to the state I'm in now. The thing I need to work on is getting off the diu...
