Disneyland with Harper

Harper had her opportunity to go on her one-on-one trip with me this last week. We had a wonderful time. We caught the very early flight to get to Orange County. Uber'ed to the hotel. Checked in and Uber'ed to the park. We spent our first afternoon in Disneyland. We didn't get a lot done, but we managed to get most of Fantasyland, Tiki Room and Pirates of the Carribean done before we headed back to the pool. My whole body hurt. I was really happy to spend some time in the hot tub. And I did that EVERY night. The second day we spent at California Adventure. This is the first time ever that I did not go on Soarin'. The wait was just too long. But we did manage to get almost everything else we wanted to get done finished up and we had a great time. I found these pickles. They were so freaking good. I had cravings for them the rest of the trip and after. The last day was spent at Disneyland. We finished up pretty much everything else we wanted to go on....

Penelope Goes to Disneyland

Penelope is the fourth grandchild to get her one-on-one with Grandma CoCo.  She was asked early last year where she wanted to go.  She waffled between Disneyland and LegoLand for a long time.  She suddenly got set on Disney and so that's where we went. She spent Saturday night with me and we woke up really early on Sunday and headed to the airport.  We were at the hotel by 10:30, we were able to get her clothes changed, give the hotel our luggage and catch the last shuttle for five hours to the park.  I kind of let her run the show that first day and we were all over the place.  It was a very busy holiday weekend and there were lines.  She was pretty upset about having to wait in lines - so it was hard to get her to decide on what to do.  We did very little that first day.  We did do one very important thing though, she met Belle.  That was worth the ticket right there.  She looked so sweet, dressed in her own Belle princess dress...
