Zachary is a STAR!

Zac was star of the week this week at preschool. I was invited to go and see his little presentation at preschool. His preschool is probably the coolest thing in the land, they are so good there. Anyway, it was field trip day, and his presentation started off their day. KayeLynn and I went and met Crystal, Brandon, Zac and Chelsea there. When the kids get there, they need to go to the bathroom and wash their hands first off before going into class (how smart is that??), then they all go sit in a circle on the floor. His teacher is Miss Terry and she stood at the class with a poster board of all of Zac's favorite things. His favorite number is five. His favorite planet is Neptune and that's because his favorite color is blue. She asked all the kids to name Zac's favorite things. So freaking cute - they go through the list of his favorites and call out the answers. THEN, my favorite thing of all, the kids then go one-by-one and give reasons why they like Zac. Here...

My cute hubby!!

Just in the mood to talk about how cute my husband is. I may not always like him, but I always love him. He's so very sweet to me. He's always so affectionate and sweet. I "heart" him. We actually get along pretty good for the most part. We travel really well together. We like to just be together. Although he is the biggest geek and dork in the land, he's also a sweetheart. Kisses to you honey!!

So sad!

How does a little girl you watched grow up end up being the meth scarred face starring at you from a mug shot in a newspaper that happened to be with the guy who gets killed by a cop after a burglary in small town Utah?? I met Emily Rose Tolman when she was four years old. Crystal was four, also. We had just moved into our house in Kearns and this little face was peering over the retaining wall. She wanted to know if she could play. From that day on, Emily and Crystal was joined at the hip. Crystal started kindergarten that fall and Emily was a year behind her. But, that didn't stop them. They were friends throughout high school. Emily struggled as a teenager with some rebellion, just like a lot of kids. She had a boyfriend, who lived in Elko, Nevada. Her parents didn't quite know what to do about it. They ended up turning her over to her boyfriend and saying she was his problem. The two of them got married shortly after. Emily and Lee have three children. Crysta...

OH - one more thing

I got a great niece for my birthday. Rebekah Moody was born on my birthday. I've always wanted to share my birthday with a niece or nephew. I wonder if Valentine's will be important to her??

My birthday...

Today is Valentine's Day. It's never held a lot of importance for me. I guess because my birthday is the day before - - so it always just kind of ran into the other. I always tried to make Valentine's a little more important for my kids - but, now they get nothing!! Sad - I should still get them something. I do try to send something to my grandbabies, though. Anyway, back to the title - my birthday. I woke up really, really, really grumpy. My husband, who sometimes doesn't think, woke me up at 5:30 in the morning - well, if you pay much attention to me (which I probably wouldn't), you know that I complain constantly about having insomnia. So, when he woke me up, I couldnt' go back to sleep. I went through all these plans in my head from divorce to homicide several times yesterday morning. All because he woke me up!! Anyway, I've decided the last couple of years that I want my birthday to have childlike fun. Last year, I set up a children'...

Bored and broke...

I'm just sitting here. It seems like all I ever do anymore is just sit here. Maybe it's because it's winter time, I don't know. All I know is that it seems like I never do anything anymore. I used to be active, go out and just hang out and shop. Problem is, now that I have no money, I no longer want to go just shop. I know Kohl's is having a crazy clearance sale - - - and still I sit on the couch. I would love to go to Kohl's - - charge up a credit card like crazy - - but, then you got to pay for it and more. It's so frustrating right now. AARRGGGHH!!!!! Do you think it's going to get better anytime?? Do you think that Ted will one day get a new job, so I don't have to worry about losing everything at this stage in my life?? There are days I just want to turn back time and go back to where I actually had fun and just did what I wanted to do. I hate this feeling of helplessness. I hate this feeling of everything is going to crumble.........

Date with Zachary

My grandson Zachary and I went on a date today. We went to lunch at Burger King, where he got the most awesomest Spider Man toy around. Then we went to Jungle Jim's. We had alot of fun. I should have taken Chelsea, too. I think Zach would have had more fun if he had someone to play with while he was there. He tried to get me to go on the bumper cars with him - but I had to decline. I couldn't imagine my big butt getting into that little kiddy ride seat. Anyway, it was a great time for the two of us.
