CoCo vs. The Cat - the Cat Won

You know that story about the family that locked themselves in the bathroom when the cat went crazy and started attacking them?  They called 911 to get help.  This is the story here:   crazy kitty!   Now, to my story: Sherlock is not 22 pounds, but he's a pretty big kitty cat.  He and I have never had a problem ever.  I went to watch my pretty Penny while her parents ran up to Ogden and back.  I had to go to the potty, so I put Penny in her play saucer and ran in the bathroom.  I kept all of the doors open on the way, so I could hear her.  First the dog Ozzy came in and wanted attention (while I sat there) and I rubbed his little ears and gave him a little pat.  Then Sherlock came in, I rubbed his head and petted him, he rubbed up against me.  Now, I always thought that was a sign of affection, I may be wrong.  I finished my business and washed my hands and walked out. The sound of the toilet flushing was still in the air...

Complacency is the Devil

The jeans I pulled out of my closet. Broken down into goals. I've been frustrated.  I've been irritated.  I've been mad.  I've been angry.  I've been complacent.  I've been complacent for eight years.  Now I just hate myself.  I feel ugly.  I feel old.  I feel fat.  I feel unhealthy.  I feel disgusting.  Mostly because I just feel unhealthy. Stack one - Goal one Stack two - Goal two. Yesterday, I went out shopping for a beautiful dress to wear to Ted's Civil Air Patrol banquet.  We haven't been for a few years.  I don't think they really had many in the last few years.  I think the last one was three years ago in St. George.  Ted didn't decide to go until Wednesday or Thursday  I guess the outgoing Wing Commander kept asking him if he was going and he finally relented.  I didn't have a lot to wear  Well - I did.  I have a closet full of clothes.  Alot of which I never w...

I'll Take How Dumb Are You For a Million Alex

Upon on the roof and in the tree There are times that my idiocy makes me wonder how I make it through a day.  This fall, when the leaves were falling from the trees, I happened to realize that we have these little pear berries on our trees.  I looked at them and wondered out loud where they go, because in the spring, they will be gone.  They are never there when the trees start to bud.  They are never there when the buds turn to blooms.  My favorite thing in the seasons is to see my little trees bud and bloom then later in the year to see the leaves turn orange and red then blow away (because I don't get to them quick enough for them not to blow to the neighbors house - OOPS). Anyway, back to my naivete.  A couple of weeks ago, KayeLynn mentioned that the trees were covered in birds eating the berries.  I think I literally smacked myself in the forehead with the realization that my question from this fall had been answered. Covering...
